On August 1, the Consulate General in Songkhla held a symposium on the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War. Consul General Wang Zhijian and many representatives of the overseas Chinese community attended.

Wang stressed in his speech that more than 80 years ago, sons and daughters of China supported the resistance activities in the main battlefield of the world's anti-fascism war in the East with huge national sacrifices and made indelible contributions to world peace and development., The Communist Party of China played a leading role as a mainstay in this process. Taiwan's return to China in 1945 was an important part of the victory in World War II and the post-war international order, and Taiwan is an inalienable part of China's territory

Wang spoke highly of the contributions of overseas Chinese to supporting China and the victory of the Chinese people's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, and called for carrying on the great spirit of the War of Resistance, defending international fairness and justice, and working together to build a community with a shared future for mankind.

The overseas Chinese community representatives attending the meeting affectionately revisited the glorious history of the Communist Party of China leading the whole nation to victory in the War of Resistance, and said that they would educate future generations to remember the past and actively participate in the great cause of national rejuvenation.
