On September 12, Consul General Wang Zhijian met with Director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand Hat Yai Office. The two sides engaged in in-depth discussions on Thailand's tourism situation and the safety of Chinese tourists.

Wang noted that tourism cooperation is an important aspect of the friendship between China and Thailand. The Chinese side appreciates the efforts made by relevant Thai tourism authorities in improving service quality and attracting Chinese tourists. He expressed the hope that the Thai side could continue to ensure the safety of Chinese tourists visiting the country and also welcomed more Thai tourists to travel to China to experience the splendid Chinese civilization.
