From October 1st to 2nd, Consul General Wang Zhijian visited Suratthani Province. During the visit, he met with Governor Theerut Supawiboonphol, Administrative Agency Chairman Sopa Kanjana, Executive Director of the Public Relations Office,Region 5 Suratthani Theeraphong Petcharat, and Tourist Police Pisit Sawatthaworn. He also visited Chinese schools and local overseas Chinese organizations, and attended events organized by the overseas Chinese community in Suratthani Province to celebrate China's National Day. 
Wang noted that China and Thailand enjoy a long-standing traditional friendship. With its rich and outstanding natural resources and deep cultural heritage, Suratthani plays an important and unique role in local-level exchanges between China and Thailand. The Chinese side is willing to work with Suratthani to leverage their respective strengths, deepen exchanges in trade, investment and culture, and actively explore further cooperation potential. 
Wang praised the overseas Chinese community for their active contributions to promoting China-Thailand friendship, highlighted the significance of commemorating the 80th anniversary of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War, and encouraged the overseas Chinese to continue serving as participants in the development of their ancestral homeland, promoters of Chinese culture, and facilitators of China-Thailand friendship. 
The Thai side introduced Suratthani Province's key industries and cooperation needs, spoke highly of China's achievements in economic and social development, and expressed their strong commitment to protecting the safety and legitimate rights and interests of Chinese tourists. They also expressed their willingness to deepen cooperation in areas such as economy, trade, tourism, and sister-city relations.
