On January 21, Consul General Wang Zhijian visited Phatthalung Province, met with Governor Mr. Sujin Wajakit, visited the Chongde Charity Hall to distribute Lunar New Year heartwarming packages, visited a Chinese school, and conducted on-site inspections of a local rice processing plant and specialized rice cultivation processes and techniques.
During the meeting with Governor Sujin Wajakit, both sides highly praised the long-standing friendship between China and Thailand and expressed their commitment to continuing to be guided by the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries and to promoting pragmatic cooperation between China and Thailand at the local level in areas such as investment, agriculture, education, and tourism.
Wang extended New Year greetings and warm regards to the local overseas Chinese communityies, encouraging them to continue playing a more active role in inheriting and promoting excellent traditional Chinese culture as well as advancing friendly cooperation between China and Thailand.
Consul General Wang also visited a school and had a cordial exchange with students in Chinese language classes, encouraging young people to strive to be a vital force in furthering the enduring friendship between China and Thailand, and welcoming young people to visit China more often to increase their understanding of China.
